The Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad built its San Antonio passenger depot at Durango and South Flores Streets. During the 1920s the trains of the San Antonio & Aransas Pass used the Katy depot.

The last time I used the station was at Easter in 1964. Within just a year or so of my 1964 trip the Katy abandoned passenger service south of Dallas. In spring 1967, when I took these photos, the station stood locked and empty. This depot survived for a few more years. However, it was eventually razed to be replaced by a parking lot. A part of the station was salvaged and incorporated into the Los Patios restaurant complex in San Antonio.
